Academic Fest is conducted in order to summarize the learning development of the learners. As per the IB philosophy, we have an integrated approach to learning. Hence development of students is showcased to the stakeholders.
Numeracy Fest
Numeracy Fest is an all-day extravaganza for students to celebrate the fun, beauty, power, and importance of math in our daily lives. The Fest combines Guest Sessions, performances, puzzles, games, mathletic events, art-making, films, and much more — with dozens of unique events.
Grammar Fest
An Arts & Performing Arts Festival exploring your potential in dimensions of arts, media, dramatics, literature, music, fashion, and dance but the underlying principle to be explored is Grammar. Learners explore English Grammar through the medium they are passionate about.
Annual Fest
The annual fest of SVBISD is a magnanimous event where every year all student leaders perform onstage.While the students hoot for strong social issues in their acts, the theme of our annual fests are extravagant & speak loudly about the social causes which are needed to be informed to the community at large.
International Science Fest
In line with the global trend of conducting science festivals, SVB's International School Dombivli has been organizing National Science Festival.The objective is to ignite creative, collective scientific thinking and interaction among the participants that enhances their further interest in science.
ISRO Travelling Exhibition
More than 50,000 schoolchildren thronged NES International school, Mumbai-IB World, Mulund, during a two-day space exhibition. The space exhibition, was organized in collaboration with ISRO.Over 16 sections covering ISRO activities were on display, including launch vehicles PSLV and GSLV, Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan.

MUN
We conduct sessions in collaboration with SkillSphere Education which is a pan India skill set development and knowledge enhancement organization. The organization’s primary focus is on developing essential life skills among individuals of all ages, increasing their general knowledge and awareness, improving their public speaking skills and verbal communication
Learning through Play: Learning Centers
A learning center is a self-contained section of the classroom in which students engage in independent and self-directed learning activities. Makerspace
Makerspace provides hands-on, creative ways to encourage students to design, experiment, build and invent as they deeply engage in science, engineering and tinkering. A makerspace is not solely a science lab, woodshop, computer lab or art room, but it may contain elements found in all of these familiar spaces. We have 13 such clubs which are conducted on weekly basis.
PYP Exhibition
In the final year of the PYP, students carry out an extended, in-depth, collaborative project known as the PYP exhibition. This involves students working collaboratively to conduct an in-depth inquiry into real life issues or problems. Students collectively synthesize all of the essential elements of the PYP in ways that can be shared with the whole school community.
Class Carnival
A culminating annual event- grade wise carnival showcases the learning achievements of the students. Learners in collusion with teachers prepare and present this academic programme and also receive their grade books at the hands of the Founder President Dr. R. Varadarajan.
IB Orientation for Parents and Students
Getting the basics right! The new parents and students are initiated into the IB Programme with a tuning in for the same. They are front loaded with the right information and introduced to the IB philosophy and inquiry based teaching methodology.
Modern Teaching Methods
At SVBISD, the prime focus is given to ensuring that learners actively participate in the process of building their knowledge and sharpening their skills. Various modern teaching methods like the constructivist approach, flipped classroom, inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, collaborative learning, thinking-based learning, etc. are regularly implemented.
Special Assembly
Inculcating social responsibility focuses on making learners aware of the needs of society and helping them take actions to achieve them. SVBISD, through the platform of special assemblies, allows learners to exhibit their understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and share with the wider community their initiatives to achieve the SDG
Startup Fest
Start up fest held at SVBISD aims at encouraging bright young minds to start new ventures with innovative ideas. This event is an effort to idealize the importance of three important elements — education, technology and innovation. SVBISD firmly believes that for the 21st century learners, skill enhancement is inevitable as it helps inspire more students to aspire and become job creators, instead of becoming job seekers
