At SVBISD, sports and fitness offer students a wide range of opportunities for physical and creative recreation. It develops our learners’ self-management skills, social skills, respect for others, problem-solving skills and the abilities to take on challenges
Creative Indoor games help our learners to enhance, retain and build cognitive skills.
Learners at SVBISD enjoy chess. It helps them to increase their creativity and improve memory. This activity allows our learners to develop their overall skills.

Taekwondo has helped our learners to develop mental and moral facets that lead to the overall improvement of the individual.

Regular practise for roller skates has helped our learners to improve their balance and co-ordination.

Our learners thoroughly enjoy gymnastic sessions. These sessions helped them to improve their strength, agility, coordination, and physical conditioning.

Engaging in aerobics, a combination of rhythmic exercises with stretching and strength training routines has helped our learners to improve their overall fitness (flexibility, muscular strength, and cardio-vascular fitness).

Rhythmic activities have helped our learners to increase their muscular strength, endurance and motor fitness.

Yoga helps our learners to increase their awareness of themselves, and even improve their attention and focus

Playing badminton builds and tones the quads, glutes, calves, and hamstring muscles of our learners. Also, core muscles, arm and back muscles get strengthened

Table tennis emphasizes all round development. Playing table tennis has helped our learners to improve hand-eye coordination, stimulate mental alertness, concentration, tactical strategy and improve coordination & reflexes

At SVBISD, wrestling was introduced last year at a basic level. This is a self-defence sport that helps to improve self-confidence, discipline and mental strength

At SVBISD, we give equal importance to outdoor sports. Outdoor sports help to enhance personality and self-discipline and develop social skills and physical and mental health. The team games help to develop co-ordination, team spirit and leadership qualities
Basketball builds endurance, improves balance and coordination in our learners. It also develops their concentration and self-discipline

Football is the most popular sport worldwide and it is not any different at SVBISD. Football nurtures team spirit, a competitive outlook & sets an atmosphere for fun and fair play

Softball is a team game played from the primary level at SVBISD. Players get an opportunity to display their physical and cognitive skills and apply them during the game situation

Handball was introduced last year at SVBISD. It’s a fast- paced game. It offers an excellent full body workout

Throw ball enhances our learners’ cardiovascular fitness

Volleyball is at an introductory level at SVBISD. Volleyball, a team sport, helps our learners to strengthen the upper body, arms, shoulders, thighs, abdominals, and lower legs

Kickball, similar to throwball, is thoroughly enjoyed by our learners

Cricket is one of the favourite sports among SVBISD students. Cricket improves endurance, stamina, physical fitness and hand eye-coordination. Cricket also involves short bursts of sprinting and throwing which is good for cardiovascular health

Athletics, also called track and field events, a variety of competitions in running, walking, jumping, and throwing events. It helps our learners to develop confidence.
