Primary Years Programme

At SVB's International School Dombivli - IB World School, the Primary Years Programme is an amalgamation of - the IB (International Baccalaureate) Programme and the various national education systems.


The PYP program focuses on the development of the child as an inquirer both in the classroom and in the world outside. It is defined by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance that are explored using knowledge and skills derived from different subject areas emphasizing inquiry-based learning.

2018 - 2019

PYP students Ms. Arha Velankar and Ms. Shaivi Gole bagged Gold medal and Bronze medal, respectively at the 7th Open Speed Skating Championship 2019 held in March 2019.

2018 - 2019

PYP students attended two days of Science Fest at NES International School, Mumbai, where they participated in model-making, scientific drawing, essay writing, and other competitions and won prizes.

2019 - 2020

SVBISD, for the first time in the KDMC division, conducted the Young Performers Certificate (YPC) offered by Trinity College of London for the learners of the Early Years Programme. This programme helped to enhance their confidence and group interaction skills. Further, the learners developed their performance and communication skills by exploring stories and characters.

2019 - 2020

SVB International’s young learners participated in the GESE examination held in March 2020 to develop communicative English language, speaking and listening skills.
