Infrastructure
The school campus is aesthetically designed. The classrooms are ergonomically designed and air-conditioned with sufficient space for teaching, audiovisual equipment and state-of-the-art furniture and fixtures.
Library
The school’s hi-tech library provides a wide range of books. The demand for IB Programmes and Cambridge (CAIE) curricula are fully met through a rich stock of reference books, national and international journals, periodicals, CDs, DVDs. The library has adequate study space and computer facilities that enhance reading interest and research skills among students.
Resource Centre
The Library has an attached resource center, with computer facilities, on one teacher / one computer basis, for their research and lesson preparation.
STEAM Lab
SVBISD takes pride in its state-of-the-art STEAM lab. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. The STEAM lab's curriculum is an extension of the Science/ Math curricula and it includes hands-on activities that emphasize the application of scientific concepts as we experience them in our daily lives. It enhances the creativity, instills problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and innovation in our students
Class Library
Besides the main library, each class is provided with a mini-library, which students can use to widen their knowledge during their free time. The class library is under the charge of the student in-charge of the class and the Home Room Teacher
CQLP - Continuous Quality Learning Programme
SVBISD invites expert speakers for guest lectures, talks, seminars, debates and discussions on various subjects. CQLP sessions are an interesting mix of illustrations, audiovisuals, followed with questions & answer sessions that makes the experience of learning blissful
Laboratories
The school has spacious science and computer laboratories with the latest scientific instruments, lab materials and all necessary facilities for experiments
School Choir and Band Group
The school has a choir and orchestra group where students are trained by professional teachers
Music Room
The Music room is equipped with quality string, percussion and key-based instruments allowing children to tap into their musical talent. The room is also equipped with a projector that facilitates the screening of song lyrics when vocal training sessions are in the process
Technology
The classrooms in the school are fully computerized and web-enabled. The school provides wi-fi broadband internet connectivity for students and teachers for continuous learning and research. The school, as part of its unique teaching methodology, utilizes state-of-the-art audio-video aids to impart education
Counselling
The school conducts regular counselling sessions to prepare students to develop a positive attitude towards life and to handle the challenges they face during the developmental stages. The school arranges for personal counselling or joint counselling session along with the parents as per the needs of the learners
Enrichment Classes
Enrichment classes permit students to learn in an environment tailor-made according to their interests and needs (learning styles, capabilities and temperament). A low student-to-facilitator ratio ensures personal attention to student needs. Interactions with like-minded peers and personalized learning goals set by experienced facilitators during these sessions ensure students achieve academic success to the best of their capabilities
Medical Room
The school has a well-equipped medical room with an attending nurse to provide emergency care and routine medical assistance. The medical inventory is stocked sufficiently with the required medicines and first-aid kits
Gymnasium
A well planned gymnasium, with all necessary equipment under trained instructors, is established in the school.
Safety & Security
TRANSPORT
SVBISD has a fleet of buses/vans designed as per required standards to ferry students to and from school. Well-trained drivers and female attendants capable of handling the needs of young students are available on the bus. To ensure complete safety, a responsible staff member monitors each journey. Further, each bus is equipped with a GPS tracking system and CCTV. The school operates the transport facility.
LOCKERS
Lockers are allotted to each student so that they do not have to carry heavy loads of books and belongings daily.
Safety
The students, while engrossed in school activities, are under constant CCTV surveillance to ensure their safety. Besides this, the SVBISD security team takes rounds in the school premises to ensure nothing goes wrong with the students. The school takes constant efforts to prevent bullying, harassment, violence and substance abuse while at school.
